Celebrate 35 years of the iconic express sleeping car train service "Hokutosei" with Seiko's special limited edition watch. Operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR-East) and Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), Hokutosei has been a symbol of luxury travel since its debut in 1988.
The watch's dial draws inspiration from the front face of the Hokutosei, towed by the DD51 locomotive that runs between Hakodate and Sapporo. The blue dial features a striking gold band in the center, along with three in-dials at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock, imitating the head mark and headlights of the Hokutosei.
