Details of a Type-R vehicle can be found on various parts of the timepiece, the base design of the dial incorporates a honeycomb pattern, evoking the look of a Type-R front grille. The sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position features a motif that is inspired by panel meters used in certain past Type R models, employing red and white measurement markings and a yellow hand, the feeling of stepping on the gas paddle is what you could imagine.
The white genuine leather at the surface of the band is printed with the model codes of Type R cars — from the NSX NA1 that debuted in 1992 to today’s Civic FL5, a history characterized by a spirit of challenge and innovation. The underside of the band also features "Alcantara", the material that is used in Type R cars, with red stitching against black to evoke the look of the car’s interiors.
