Doctor Yellow is the nickname for the high-speed test trains that are used on the Japanese Shinkansen ("Bullet Train") dedicated express passenger train routes. The trains have special equipment on board to monitor the condition of the track and overhead wire, including specially instrumented bogies and observation blisters.
This is a Special Limited edition to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the 3rd Generation 'Doctor Yellow' (Class 923) being in service.
The iconic Yellow is used as the focal color on the dial. The case back is engraved with the words "20th Dr. Yellow", an illustration of the train, and a limited edition number.
The case's back cover is engraved with the "CLASS 923 Dr. YELLOW" & the train logo and the edition number as proof of the limited serial number.
The watch is presented in a special commemorative box. The watch is made in Japan which is a guarantee of quality. They are limited to 5,000 pieces each and only available in Japan,
