Celebrating the 50th anniversary of "Space Battleship Yamato"(宇宙戦艦ヤマト in Japanese), the 1974 launched Japanese Sci-Fi TV animation, we've got a special collaboration model that's bound to turn heads. The anime series was directed by Japanese manga artist Leiji Matsumoto, is one of the most influencial anime in Japan that inspired many latter manga works like the Gundam. "Yamato" was built in 2199 AD to save the Earth from the invasion of the allian Garmillan Empire.
The dial of this limited edition model is a work of art, sporting a striking black and red color scheme that symbolizes the fiery determination and courage of the crew and the body color of the spaceship itself.
4 points luminescent hour markers and hands ensure visibility, reminiscent of the glowing control panels on the Yamato's bridge. The 3 sub-dial features the speed meters aand contraol panel screen as if from the control panels of the crew, symbolizing the Yamato's forward thrust through the starry expanse. At the 12 o'clock postion is the anchor mark that symbolised the Yamato Battleship.
