Design Details
The bezel of the MRG-B2000JS is a stunning feat of engineering, crafted from recrystallized hybrid titanium that showcases a unique pattern. This intricate design is achieved by layering 64 titanium sheets and pure titanium, compressing them under high temperature and pressure, then expertly cutting, polishing, and recrystallizing to emulate the exquisite *hamon* (temper line) of the Jūryoku Maru - San.
The watch band features a texture reminiscent of the sword’s mother-of-pearl scabbard, enhancing its tactile appeal. Constructed from DAT55G titanium alloy, which boasts approximately three times the hardness of pure titanium, the band undergoes micron-level processing, resulting in a mesmerizing coloration that shifts with the angle of light.
Adding to its exclusivity, the case back is engraved with the character "燦" (San) by Ueyama himself, using traditional Japanese sword inscription techniques. Each engraving is unique, showcasing the handcrafted nature of this exceptional piece.
The dial features a captivating hishimaki (diamond-shaped) pattern inspired by the handle of the Jūryoku Maru - San, while the curved indices echo the graceful curve of the sword blade.
