Introducing the G-Shock MTG-B3000 - a special new timepiece in G-Shock’s MT-G line that features an original design concept - combining the resin used in the first G-Shock models with metal materials to deliver an innovative form of great structural beauty.
The new MTG-B3000 employs an even further improved Dual Core Guard Structure that protects the module with a carbon-fibre reinforced resin case and uses metal for the exterior components. One of the most unique parts within the Dual Core Guard Structure for this timepiece is the stainless steel case back. Salute to a completely new structure and design, the case back itself now fulfills multiple functions - serving as the lugs to secure the band and as the guards for crown and buttons - yet the watch is slimmer and more compact than ever.
A new process of repeated pressing, cutting, and polishing was developed to make the case back protrude upward in an intricate 3D form. At the same time, high-density mounting technology was employed to develop a new slim, multifunction module that results in a slimmer profile for the whole watch at just 12.1mm from the back to the bezel - over 2mm lower than the MTG-B1000.
Despite being the thinnest ever for a solar G-Shock chronograph, the MTG-B3000 new module also offers a full range of useful functions. Simply sync with Casio Watches smartphone app via Bluetooth to obtain accurate time data. Other features include Multi Band 6, Tough Solar charging, and a high brightness LED light. The MTG-B3000 also offers an innovative interchangeable band structure with a One-touch exchange setup that makes it easy to change bands without tools. Press the buttons located on both sides of the lugs simultaneously to swap out the band just like that.
The MTG-B3000 has a sapphire crystal with an anti-glare coating. Yamagata Casio’s precision processing is the key to the delicate moulding and vapour deposition treatments used for the dial, which create a look of sophisticated textural appeal while maintaining plenty of pass-through for solar charging.
With its new design and improved module, the MTG-B3000 boasts a compact form and slimmer profile. The three launch models feature a cool, monochrome black and grey MTG-B3000B-1A with soft urethane band at about 111 grams, and a red MTG-B3000BD-1A and a green MTG-B3000BD-1A2 with composite bands at about 148 grams respectively. Colour IP coatings matching the colour scheme of the red or green dials on the MTG-B3000BD give the metal parts of the bands a fresh pop of colour.
